The band Winter has two members, Winter & Josh.  The instruments are vocals + guitars, bass guitar, drums, and keys/sound effects.

Winter has had a few incarnations including two versions from Detroit, MI from 2000-2010. These versions were fantastic and electric in their respective visions. The sound was more heavy and less dark in those years.

The latest version of the band has emphasized an industrial edge, that makes the music much more drum oriented. With stripped down layers, and a definitive melody in nature, the new sound is indicative of Winter's evolution into a modern Alternative band. Winter will be releasing a free downloadable version of "Escape Artist" in the fall of 2010 only from the website. All of the usual digital formats will also be available. i.e. iTunes, Amazon.

Winter has collaborated with OXFAM USA to help combat world poverty and environmental pollution. Therefore, all donations for the free download of "Escape Artist" will include a portion that goes to OXFAM. If one chooses to not donate, that will not prevent the free download the new album.
